The Nebraska Union Board (Union Board) is a combination of students, faculty, and staff whose role is to advise the Nebraska Unions leadership (Leadership) on all matters of operational activity and to advocate for students, faculty, and staff on matters related to the Nebraska Union, Nebraska East Union, and the Jackie Gaughan Multicultural Center.
Union Board members are organized into three subcommittees:
Space Allocation Committee: tasked with reviewing Registered Student Organization space requests, allocating space, and enforcing Facility Agreement policy related to space allocation.
Finance Committee: advises Leadership on financial policy, operation, and use and supports Leadership in the annual budgeting Fee Allocation process.
Facility Enhancement Committee: advocates for students’ needs and advises Leadership regarding physical improvements to the facilities.
The Nebraska Union Board and each committee both meet monthly.

The students and faculty comprising the Nebraska Union Board meet biweekly to discuss bettering the Unions' system through advocating for all members of the Husker community. The Nebraska Union Board is composed of 14 students with faculty and staff acting as an advocate for the various segments of the university community- including the Jackie Gaughan Multicultural Center, the Nebraska East Union, and the Nebraska Union.
Student board members have the opportunity to create further change through Advertising and Public Relations, Membership and Engagement, or Space Usage and Allocation subcommittees.
Students selected to be on the board work together to ensure every student, guest, and member of the Lincoln community has a positive place to interact and connect with one another.
